Gerard Hudspeth was born and raised in Denton where he attended Denton High School and is graduate of both North Central Texas College & University of North Texas. Gerard and his wife, Diane, have been married for 14 years and are raising their 4 daughters, LaNeisha, Jordan, Alice, and Olalla, here in Denton.  

 

With Denton’s rapid growth, Gerard strives to protect our unique Denton quality of life. A successful businessman and current Mayor Pro-Tem, Gerard has a record of bringing people to the table and getting things done that positively impact our community.  

 

We elected Gerard Hudspeth in 2020 as Denton was facing an
unprecedented pandemic, and shortly after taking office, we
experienced one of the worst storms Texas has seen in the past
hundred years. Even with these challenges, Gerard kept his
promises and led the city to protect and improve our quality of life
